California Air Resources Board (CARB) is coming to present proposed updates for Off-Road Diesel Vehicle and Equipment Funding and would appreciate your input in the funding discussion. The guidelines for the Funding Agricultural Replacement Measures for Emission Reductions Program (FARMER) will be changing and this is your opportunity to be heard. The discussion will include several topics such as: used equipment in all air districts, additional flexibility for zero-emission equipment, potential for additional funding for efficiency gains from specialty equipment, and updating emission and load factors used for emission reduction calculations.
Randy Opfer, Air Pollution Specialist, will also join the workshop and present regulation updates and deadlines. Emission testing requirements for all non-gasoline heavy duty trucks in California is underway and official testing begins October 1st; agriculture is not exempt. Whether reporting Off-Road equipment with 25HP or greater not solely used for Ag, DMV registration requirements, Clean Truck Check, Advanced Clean Fleets, or the regulatory move to electric vehicles, this is the opportunity to get answers in-person from CARB.
