ABOUT ABOUT

Workers’ Compensation Fraud is an issue for every business and its impact is reflected in insurance premiums. There are $10 billion California claims annually and 30 percent are fraudulent. Even if you haven’t experienced a situation that directly impacts your business, you may know others who have, and knowledge about what to look for and how to combat fraud will help when you encounter it. The Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office investigates and prosecutes cases involving Workers’ Compensation Fraud and they will be providing an educational presentation to include: the various types of fraud, red flags and signs an employer should be aware of, the law regarding Workers’ Compensation and the employer’s need to carry insurance. Questions are encouraged. Don’t miss this unique opportunity.
